Tax Accountant EMEA - English Speaker

Preparation and submitting of all VAT, Intrastat, Customer Listings, and Corporate Income Tax advance payments
and other local filings & reports for activities in EMEA legal entities, being based in Barcelona European HQs.

Description

Primary Responsibilities:
Preparing and submitting VAT returns, European Community (EC) Sales listings, Intrastat and other local
returns for EMEA regions;
Preparing conciliation reports for indirect taxation for EMEA regions;
Preparing documents and giving support to Nexeo in Tax Inspections;
Assisting with direct taxation calculations and transfer pricing documentation;
Performs other duties as assigned.
Profile

Primary Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
+1 year of experience ideally in International Tax departments within a multinational environment is preferred.
Good understanding of VAT regulations.
Fluency in English is a must and any other European language is desirable (German, Dutch, French etc…).
Good knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP).
Excellent Communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Good at Excel and other standard Office packages.
Good attention to detail and accountability.
Pro-active, hands-on mentality, self-motivated, and team player.
Stress resistance, good time management, accuracy, and precision.
