Senior Product Owner (d/f/m)

Our Global Performance Reporting & Tools department within RWE Renewables is looking for a highly experienced engineer with strong software Product Owner capabilities and good solution management skills, to work together with Wind and Solar Operations teams and interfacing with the wider IT/OT team in order to deliver the best software-driven solutions to our innovative and industry-leading products.

Your future tasks
Work closely with product stakeholders, building a trustful stakeholder network, in a global scope (Offshore/Onshore wind and solar). Measure customer satisfaction regularly Communicate project status regularly to stakeholders and management levels
Create, maintain and prioritize the product backlog according to business value. Define user stories and turn them into product backlog items with a clear definition of done, for the SCRUM development team to discuss and implement
Measure and report progress of your projects, based on time, quality and budget
Lead the definition of business processes where the product to be delivered is expected to contribute, using standardized methods. Test that the product result fits into the business process, and define the required documentation prior to the rollout
Lead the products rollout to production, coordinating business + IT/OT departments and also offering user trainings to the target product customers
Active collaboration, even taking leadership when required, with other Product Owners in achieving common targets and innovate the existing SCRUMs agile methodology
Lead complex projects such as legacy application replacement, global products with high level complexity stakeholder requirements
Mentor lower seniority product owners, supporting their development path
Your profile
Masters in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field
Previous working experience as a Product Owner for at least 5 years
Must have extended (agile) product- and project management experience with e.g. SCRUM
Proven working experience in project management (PMP or PRINCE II is a plus)
Extended experience in leveraging digital collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Airtable or Mural and proven working experience or knowledge of Renewables business, especially in Operations or engineering
Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills and excellent self- and stakeholder management skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
English language proficiency
Flexibility to travel occasionally
