Senior Fullstack Engineer - Carrier Core team

sennder is Europes leading digital freight forwarder. In a traditional industry, we are moving fast to digitize and automate all road logistics processes. We are a growing team looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer (back-end focused with an interest in DevOps) to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. You would join our Carrier Core team in the Ba__rcelona, Berlin or Madrid office__. For those already based in Spain, this role allows remote working possibility from Spain.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer youll work on interesting responsibilities like carrier authentication and authorization, as well as carrier communication. Youll be collaborating closely with the Platform team and other teams in our Business Area to develop services and libraries that will be enabling product development teams.

The Carrier Core team focuses on enabling stream-aligned teams to deliver their goals, identifying obstacles they might have, and helping drive company-wide technical initiatives in the scope of the Carrier & Driver Business Area. Currently, the team is adapting the new authentication/authorization flow to the carriers and drivers needs. The next potential product is the central carrier communication.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL…
participate in building new solutions in the teams scope: building microservices as well as creating UI functionality using the micro-frontend approach.
improve the level of test automation to maintain the high quality of our products
work with talented and experienced engineers within a mature, agile and friendly team
collaborate with other teams in cross-team projects
be an active member of the BE and FE developer communities and learn and share best practices in engineering and collaboration.
Preferably you have
at least 6 years of relevant experience
experience with Node.js and at least one of the frontend javascript frameworks, preferably Vue.js
skills in TypeScript; knowing Python or any other programming language is a plus
experience with authentication and authorization (OAuth/Auth0/Google)
experience with pub/sub systems
practical skills with AWS, Docker, and modern CI/CD
a passion for going deeper on the scope you are responsible for, understanding the bigger context, and acting as a true owner
As a bonus: previous experience working on a platform team, having engineers as your stakeholders, participation in InnerSource development.
good communication skills in English.
