Your role
As SAP Basis Service Manager reporting to the IT Infrastructure Director you will be responsible for
- Lead and manage a global team of SAP Basis administrators and specialists with one direct report a Basis and PO specialist.
- Define and execute the SAP Basis strategy to ensure system stability security and availability.
- Oversee system installations upgrades and patches including SAP HANA SAP NetWeaver and other SAP products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize SAP system performance and availability.
- Implement SAP security best practices and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and high-availability strategies for SAP environments.
- Stay current with SAP technologies and recommend system enhancements.
Your education and experience
- Bachelors degree in information technology Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP Basis administration and management.
- Proven experience in leading global SAP Basis teams.
- SAP certifications related to SAP Basis administration and SAP PI/PO.
- Knowledge of SAP transport management and system landscape strategies.
- Knowledge of IT service management practices.
- Strong project management skills.
Your skills
- Strong knowledge of SAP Basis administration including system installations upgrades and patching.
- Proficiency with SAP HANA S/4HANA and other SAP products such as SAP BW/4HANA SAP CRM SAP SRM and SAP SCM.
- Expertise in SAP NetWeaver components including SAP Web Application Server SAP Process Integration (PI/PO) and SAP Business Warehouse (BW).
- Experience in SAP system performance tuning and monitoring including SAP Solution Manager.
- SAP database administration skills including SAP HANA IBM DB2 Oracle and other databases.
- Strong knowledge of SAP PI and PO for seamless process integration and orchestration.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Understanding of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Team management skills.
- Effective communication both verbal and written.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making.
