The EU Regional Contract Risk Safety Program Manager will report directly to the EU Regional Sr. Contract Risk Safety Program Manager and have the primary role to support regional site's execution of processes and tools to support Amazon Project Managers in validating contractors/vendors are meeting the safety expectations of the contract. In this role, they will support the field directly in the execution of Field Contractor Management Process, by supporting EU RME, WHS, Ops Engineering, Ops Construction, L&D, security and other teams and project managers at the network and site levels.

This position requires travel up to 40% and can be based in any UK or EU Amazon site.

Responsibilities:

  • Support working relationship and partnership with EU teams such as Ops Construction, Ops Engineering, RME, Loss Prevention, Legal, EU Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), and WW CRM.
  • Be responsible for updating, maintaining and assisting the network in the implementation of the Field Contractor Safety Management process as outlined in the EU WHS Contractor Management Procedure.
  • Be responsible for the execution of Project Manager roles & responsibilities related to contract oversight, project safety planning (pre-start meetings/walks), and high risk work auditing.
  • Be responsible for the execution of an end of the year (or annual) Project/Contractor evaluation process.
  • Develop field level audit tools for high risk work to be added into Amazon’s Contractor Prequalification platform.
  • Develop and execute training for key site stakeholders related to the Field Contractor Safety Management Process.
  • Partner directly with EU RME, WHS, GES and other stakeholders to identify major high risk site projects, and ensure appropriate safety representation is overseeing the project.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) related to Field Contractor Safety Management process to respond to network and outside questions.
  • Support Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) the network can use to measure Contractor implementation performance at the network and site levels.
  • Support the EU WHS Compliance and Governance team in audit expectations and procedure clarifications related to Contractor Management.
  • Stay attuned to changing regulations and internal WHS performance to change policies when required.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Completed degree in Occupational, Health and Safety (OSH), Environmental, Health and Safety (WHS) related fields from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of 6 years Professional work experience in OSH, EHS, project/contractor management, contractor safety, or providing direct oversight for 3rd party services/contractors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to influence and partner with all levels of the organization and outside contacts.
  • Technical or Procedure Writing skills.
  • Has a demonstrable in-depth understanding of essential/relevant international EU EHS legislation.PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR IN ENGLISHPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Experience with EHS management applications tool.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Have or working towards NEBOSH, or equivalent certification.
  • Working knowledge of ISO, etc.
  • Fluency in other European languages such as French, Italian, Spanish, German.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certified.
  • Have a detailed understanding of Health & Safety regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Experience in technical, standards, or program writing.
