As the leader of the team responsible for the group-wide cybersecurity operations platform - powering Swiss Res Cybersecurity Defences - youll lead an impactful engineering team focused on delivering solutions in a reliable, consistent, robust, sustainable, and cost-efficient manner. About the team

The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk & compliance, group operational resilience, and corporate security. We define and advance the companys security strategy. Youll lead Security Platform Engineering Team - where our mission is to build a robust cybersecurity platform that produces excellent detection signals and empowers security analysts to focus on the incidents that matter, while automating as much as possible. We do this across a hybrid and global multi-cloud IT estate, using modern solutions we own end-to-end.

In your role, you will…
Lead, inspire, and develop the team to promote autonomy and mastery for all team members, building team cohesion, shared values, and mutual trust.
Provide a clear career development path and create opportunities for continuous learning and growth for the team.
Collaborate with the Product Owner in a shared leadership model to ensure the team is delivering the right things in the right way.
Foster sound DevSecOps practices to ensure the continuous development of the platform.
Work closely with incident response, threat intelligence, and other relevant teams to achieve defined objectives and key results.
Utilize workflow automation tools, process optimization methodologies, data analytics and machine learning tools, SOAR platforms, custom integrations, and workflows, and ITSM frameworks to enhance the security platform.
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure security-related data is being collected and analyzed by the SIEM system from all relevant sources.
Work closely with other security professionals, including analysts and incident responders, to ensure the SIEM system is integrated into the organizations overall security program.
Contribute to the setup, configuration, and support of security platforms, such as Orchestration & Automation, Threat Intelligence Platforms, Endpoint Detection & Response and malware sandboxing environments.
Continuously learn and expand knowledge of information security best practices.
Your qualifications

What we need from you

Have experience leading distributed teams in dynamic enterprise environments to drive continuous improvement and self-organisation
Have experience with security information management systems such as Elastic Security.
Have experience with Threat Intelligence systems such as MISP
Have experience with endpoint detection and response such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or Trellix HX.
Possess knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements for cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Possess working knowledge of Scrum and DevSecOps practices
Have excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills
Possess passion, drive, and a belief in the value of information security as a business performance enabler
