The Advanced and Chronic Liver Disease group belongs to the Liver Diseases Research Group of VHIR. It is also a consolidated group, recognized by AGAUR and it is integrated at the CIBERehd.
Main responsibilities and duties:
Development of his/her PhD project.
The candidate will carry out experiments design, experimental work, results analysis and article writing in the context of a research group on Advanced and Chronic Liver Disease.
Participation in the teaching activities of the group.

Skills/Qualifications
Education and qualifications:
Required:
Degree in health sciences (biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, medicine, etc...).
High academic records (Degrees average grade
8/10) * English proficiency

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
Previous experience in a research lab.
Willing to get the Certificate of Animal Research Experimentation (financed by the group).
Desired:
Official Master in health sciences.
Scientific publications
Presentations in conferences and scientific meetings
Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, self-motivation, and social skills as key personal abilities
Ability to work independently
Authorship in scientific publications
Languages ENGLISH Level Excellent

Benefits
Labour conditions (see the INPHiNIT call for further details):
Full-time position: 40h/week.
Starting date: During 2024 according to the “La Caixa” call deadlines.
Gross annual salary: As stated in “La Caixa” call.
Length of the contract: 3 years.
The tuition fees to the official doctoral program where the fellow will be admitted to.
Bonus of €7,500 if the fellows deposit the thesis within 6 months after the third year of their fellowship has ended.
Complementary training program
Short research stays in other institutions as secondments
