UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS TO COVER AN OPEN-ENDED CONTRACTUAL PhD JUNIOR RESEARCH POSITION TO COLLABORATE WITH THE FUNDED LINE OF RESEARCH “FULL-COLOUR HOLOGRAPHY FOR AUGMENTED REALITY”

In accordance with the Regulations governing calls for applications of research staff to cover contractual research positions and the selection procedures, approved by the Governing Council of 29 June 2021 (BOUA of 30 June 2021) and with instructions of the University of Alicante Offices of the Registrar and the Comptroller, which establish the mandatory use of electronic means for the submission of applications, documentation, payment of fees, communications, notifications and all other procedures of the selection procedures for the temporary contractual administrative and services staff and research staff as well as other generally applicable regulations, the University of Alicante announces a call for applications with the following terms and conditions:

In accordance with the provisions of the agreement of the Governing Council of 27 January 2022, which approves the 4th University of Alicante Plan for Equal Opportunities for Women and Men, it is hereby stated that there is no under-representation of either gender in the category of Assistant Researcher.

First Project in which the applicant will collaborate:
At the end of this first project or its budgetary availability, the candidate awarded the position may join other projects belonging to the same line of research funded.
- Tasks to be developed:

This is a multidisciplinary project combining the expertise of 11 leading organisations with the ambitious goal of providing prescription glasses with the added capability of augmented reality and colour vision, valid for a wide range of applications. Within this context, the postdoctoral researcher will be responsible, in coordination with the members of the research group, for leading the tasks for the design, production and validation of the holographic mirror, which provides the glasses lenses with the capacity for augmented reality and colour vision. In this way, it will play a central role in the following tasks:
Job profile. Preference will be given to:
- English language.

- Qualification: PhD degree in Physics or in any other doctoral programme with equivalent content.

Hold or be in the process of obtaining a PhD degree.
