Manager, Social Media Research

Responsible for conducting applied research in scientific area of focus. Investigating applicable solutions through rigorous, protracted studies and ensuring that a quality, integrated solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to our client*s satisfaction. This involves working closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure delivery.

An experienced professional who is responsible for applying scientific, clinical, healthcare knowledge to provide solutions that meet customers needs. As a member of team, demonstrates expertise to deliver research studies, analysis, presentations and reports on moderately complex customer engagements. Introduces innovative research collection and analysis methodologies on external customer engagements with full autonomy. Work involves using specialized skills sufficient to interpret data/ instructions and applying the relevant research techniques, methodologies with wide discretion. Recommends and implements improvements in research techniques. Possesses solid knowledge in reference to creating project and client related research materials. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality solutions are presented to the customer

Bachelors or Advanced degree in a discipline relevant to area of focus, plus 4 year related work experience. Minimum Qualifications: At least 6 years Total combined related work experience and completed higher education. Depending on the job there may be additional minimum requirements and/or preferred qualifications

What you will do:

Our Managers, Social Media Research are responsible for:
Independently managing the end-to-end execution of research projects that utilise online data from various sources including digital, search and social media, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality insights.
Working closely with clients to understand their unique business objectives and research requirements. Provide strategic guidance on leveraging online research methodologies, particularly social media research, to derive meaningful insights and drive data-informed decisions.
Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data from various online sources, including social media platforms, to extract valuable market insights. Translating complex data sets into actionable recommendations that address clients specific challenges.
Acting as a key point of contact (POC) for assigned client accounts, fostering strong and long-lasting relationships. Ensuring prompt and effective communication, addressing client inquiries, and providing regular project updates.
Collaborating effectively with other research teams, including qualitative, quantitative, and digital specialists, to foster a cohesive and integrated approach to research efforts.
Demonstrating strong leadership qualities by mentoring and guiding junior team members, promoting their professional growth and development within the organisation.
Desired Experience:
Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field (Communications, Data Science, Social Sciences).
Previous experience working in social media research: The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience specifically focused on social media research. This experience should encompass gathering and analysing data from various social media platforms to extract valuable insights and trends. The candidate should be well-versed in using social media listening software and open-source intelligence techniques
An understanding of social media algorithms and trends, enabling them to optimise research strategies for maximum impact.
Previous managerial experience, which includes proficiency in project management and personnel management.
An aptitude for problem-solving and adaptability.
