Health & Safety Specialist
Job Description
Working in close collaboration with the different Human Resource Areas, you will be responsible for achieving objectives by complying with the Occupational Risk Prevention regulations and, in addition, contributing to the implementation of measures that promote the well-being of employees.
Main Responsibilities
Know and comply with the legislation on Health and Safety at work, as well as its compilation and updating.
Implement any legal regulations on prevention and the criteria for standardization and quality control of means and protective equipment.
Strong knowledge of the local H&S regulations.
Application of the Companys Own Health & Safety Service and supporting the other areas in the implementation.
Develop all evacuation drill plans including inspection of fire safety.
Keeping updated as required on the Emergency Plan.
Carry out risk assessments whose development requires the establishment of a measurement strategy to ensure that the results obtained effectively reflect the situation being assessed, or a non-mechanical interpretation or application of the evaluation criteria.
Assessment and adaptation of the workplace for those who require assistance -vulnerable groups.
Coordinate the employees medical exams.
Obtain and report the KPI companys accident rate data and implement a work investigation and report procedure policy.
Maintain contact and coordinate with the External Health & Safety Provider and Mutua.
Coordinate with the Employee Relations team, to carry out regular H&S Inspections.
Roll out the well-being program in the company.
Ability to create informative presentations and any other communication material required to further promote H&S policies and best practices to newcomers and current employees.
Employee training activities and information activities.
Qualifications
University Degree within a related field
At least 2 years of Experience in the Occupational Health and Safety field
Preferably certified in courses such as NEBOSH
Strong communication skills in Spanish.
Advanced level of English.
Ability to work alongside consultants or any related external supplier or provider
Ability to make good judgements and take quick decisions during dedicated situations.
