Head of European Operations

We are looking for a Head of European Operations that is focused on customers and people to drive forward our growing business.

We are a young technology led ecommerce fulfilment company, focused on helping online sellers grow their business by providing global fulfilment, we are VC funded and continue to grow at a rapid pace with current sites in Europe of Netherlands, Spain and Germany and we will be expanding into further countries in the very near future.

We are looking for someone with lots of enthusiasm with a desire to learn and succeed, a focused mind and a “Can Do” attitude. You will be joining and leading a strong and dynamic management team in Europe.

Having the responsibility for the European sites the role will mean a small amount of travelling between countries and nights away.

A direct report to the VP of Operations, and a key member of the senior operational management team, you will debate and influence strategy and implement and embed the decisions made.

Responsibilities for Head Of European Operations:
Liaising with Senior Management to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
Supervising staff from different sites/departments and providing constructive feedback
Ensuring that the safety of our people and safe working practices remain at the top of our agenda.
Main Contact for Huboo Stakeholders ( Contractors, Suppliers, authorities etc. ) To be the Legal Representative where needed for Huboo.
Continual assessment and development of people as our greatest asset
Responsibility for all site reactive and proactive maintenance within the facility and all equipment.
Promotion of good work ethics and idea’s so that all sites in Huboo can use.
Ability to manage and motivate teams, ensuring that all teams have standardised process’s and work to their maximum efficiency.
Full P&L Responsibility for the Sites, reviewing financial information and adjusting operational budgets to promote profitability, standardised Full KPI reporting Daily and Weekly.
The ability to look at trends and implement change management where necessary.
Ensuring all customer requirements are completed in a timely manner and that customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Supporting procurement processes and coordinating material and resource allocations
Promote and harness the Huboo culture, encouraging high performing employees through empowerment and coaching
Manage and develop the teams so that Huboo has a strong structure with the right people in the right place.
Regular Service meetings with suppliers and to ensure costs are at a minimum.
To open new sites from finding potential sites to new builds to ready built warehouses and to set the operations from the ground up within time frame provided.
Keep the customer at the centre of everything, adding value to the customer experience
Evaluating overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
Ensuring that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
Requirements

We would love to hear from you if you if fit the below criteria:
Proven experience as Head / Director of Operations or equivalent position across multiple locations
Experience of leading Effective and Efficient operations.
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
Continuous Improvement Methodology in previous roles.
Minimum 10 years experience in Warehouse and Logistics management roles.
To be able to demonstrate Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
An ability to interact and collaborate effectively with other parts of the organisation.
To demonstrate Proactive and Reactive management Skills
Project experience in opening new sites.
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
High energy and the ability to motivate a team to perform to the best of their abilities
A customer centric individual that always understands the customers situation and puts actions in place to ensure the customer is at the heart of everything we do
A people focused individual that ensures plans are in place to make the operation a great place to work

About us:

Huboo is not like any normal fulfilment warehouse, We specialise in fulfilment warehouse solutions and work with 1000s of eCommerce businesses. We store, pick, pack and dispatch our clients’ products, alleviating the pressures for our clients, that come with fulfilling their customers’ needs. We have our own software developers making it possible for us to integrate with any eCommerce platform and work with our clients.

What makes us really stand out from the crowd is our unique Hub Model, which allows our customers to have direct contact with the people who are picking, packing, and dispatching their product to their customers and which allows our Hub Managers to take ownership of their Hubs and be the point of contact for our clients. They are not only pickers and packers but are also account managers too. Huboo work with client selling through eBay, Amazon, and other channels.

Founded in 2017, Huboo was created by e-commerce sellers for e-commerce sellers. Martin Bysh (CEO) and Paul Dodd (CTO) found that the demands and struggles that came with picking, packing, and shipping their products was becoming impossible. They considered outsourcing their fulfilment but could not find a company that allowed them to remain in the driving seat of their growing business.

Paul and Martin soon created Huboo’s unique Hub Model. Huboo was then founded.
