Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience managing a team of sellers
  • Experience in selling data and analytics software or solutions
  • Experience planning, pitching, and executing a territory sales strategy/sales programs, and developing mechanisms to scale business
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with market-leading Business Intelligence (BI) front-end, data analytics middleware, or back-end data warehouse technologies
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Data and Analytics offerings (e.g., BigQuery, Looker, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, etc.)
  • Understanding of data analytics technology stack (e.g., Hadoop/Spark, columnar data warehouses, data streaming, ETL and data governance, predictive analytics, OLAP, and data science framework)
  • Ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders as a business advisor and thought leader in data and analytics
  • Outstanding business judgment and analytics skills, using data to inform decisions and influence stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic/analytical thinking skills

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to lead a Sales team and grow Google Cloud’s data analytics (DA) market share across accounts in assigned territories. You will build executive-level relationships, and align our offerings and partners’ value proposition to customers’ needs. You’ll be excellent at prospecting, qualifying, and orchestrating a cross-functional team, leveraging the right resources, including customer engineering, partner management, professional services, and field teams. You will work with complex agreements and will be part of a specialized team.

Responsibilities
  • Hire, motivate, develop, and lead a team of sales specialists to grow and exceed their annual and quarterly business accountabilities.
  • Collaborate with the wider Google sales organization to develop scaled business strategies, drive pipeline, and provide oversight to the overall data analytics pipeline health.
  • Explore and understand complex customer requirements on business and technical levels. Engage, educate, and ensure satisfaction of the installed base.
  • Generate a plan to ensure broad data analytics engagement into new Google Cloud accounts and manage cross-functional partners in complex implementation projects and negotiations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, influence long-term strategic direction, and act as an advisor.
