Full Stack Engineer
What you will do:
-Collaborate in the ongoing design and implementation of our customer-facing web application This system will be used by parents to visualize data about their babies, manage their accounts and allow them to buy or extend their paid service subscriptions. Stack: nodejs/express/postgres + vue3. Payments via stripe.
-Help maintain and improve the internal back office web applications that our analysts use to gain knowledge from the cry sounds and other medical data we receive from our customers and partners. Stack: nodejs/express + vue2. Long term modernization of this system is planned.
-Help maintain and improve our internal backoffice systems used by our operations teams to manage customers and gain business insight from the data. Stack: nodejs/express + vue3
-Work with the clinical research team to create additional internal tools they need to facilitate their research efforts.

-Contribute to ensuring the quality of our customer-facing Cry Translation API (our flagship product). Participate in code reviews, report bugs, help increase and maintain tests coverage. stack: nodejs/python3 backend-only services
-Contribute to ensuring that our organization s security practices meet GDPR, ISO 27001 and ISO 42000 requirements by always keeping in mind the security, privacy, and ethical implications of the code we run.
-Work with the rest of the engineering team to help identify ways to reduce costs and improve performance while maintaining or increasing reliability and security.
-Constantly document your work and engage in knowledge transfer with the rest of the team.
-Help writing job descriptions and participate in interviews for hiring new staff. As our engineering team grows, your help in shaping it will be essential.
What you will bring:
-A good ability to dive into an existing codebase and find your way around in it independently and quickly. Excellent skill in improving what is already there without falling into the trap of rewriting much of it. A talent for asking meaningful and focused questions when you need help and support. And once you know your way around and start adding your own code, contribute to the project by adding helpful comments and documentation to facilitate future development.
-A good amount of love for well tested software and good development practices. A willingness to help spread this enthusiasm to the rest of the development team.
-Confidence in your experience and expertise: you don t hold back in pointing out better ways of doing things whenever an opportunity arises to do so.
