Digital Transformation Finance Intern

Locations: Spain-Madrid; Italy-Milan

About the role
Our Digital Transformation Team is responsible for the integration of digital technology into all areas of our business in Boston. We are doing this by fundamentally changing how we operate and deliver value to our customers. We are also bringing in a cultural change that requires us all to continually challenge the status quo, experiment, and think differently.

We are looking for a dynamic intern to join our fast-paced team, to immerse themselves in the financial stewardship, planning and analysis within its Programme Management Office. They will work alongside the EMEA Digital Transformation management team, ensuring budget forecasts are aligned with actual spend, and specifically handling day-to-day financial processing & project management activities.

The successful candidate will be offered a 12-month internship (6 months + 6 renewable), getting the chance to work with leaders on topics such as Voice of the Customer research, communication and change management, customer intelligence insights, legal and compliance, content management and solution architecture. They will gain valuable exposure to the life science industry while interacting across all business divisions within Europe, US, Middle East, and Africa.

Your Responsibilities will include:
Supporting the planning, reporting, and tracking of CAPEX (capital expenditure) and OPEX (operating expenses) budgets and related spend
Raising Purchase Requisitions related to the Digital Transformation activities and coordinating the approval of invoices with the workstream leaders
Working closely with Vendor Management to ensure vendor commercials are correctly setup
Supporting month-end close process by ensuring accruals are requested and cross-charges applied
Get involved in project management activities for projects that may arise within the Digital Transformation Team.
What are we looking for in you?
Graduated or graduating from a Bachelors or Masters degree in finance or a business-related field
Fluency in English required (B2 level or higher)
Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge
Excellent knowledge of basic financial concepts
Basic knowledge of Project Management
Strong communication skills with the ability to work within an international matrix team environment
Autonomy, with the ability to take decisions and bring new ideas to the table.
