The Client Manager in the Markets & Clients team is an inspiring, big-thinking and client obsessed business driver who cultivates exceptional relationships with our primary insurance partners while originating profitable growth in our life and health reinsurance business and innovative profit pools.

As a key market in the region, the Market & Clients Iberia team stewards a relevant market share, with a diversified portfolio of clients, value pools and initiatives.

Based in Madrid and reporting to the Head of Markets & Clients Iberia, he/she focuses on the strategy execution with clients in close collaboration with the relevant internal and external stakeholders. As a proactive leads hunter, he/she energizes our Munich Re organization towards the client, connecting their needs with Munich Re´s value proposition and hence articulating the benefits in a manner meaningful to an insurance company.

Your Job:
Help to conceive and lead the execution of the client action plans, according to the regional strategy;
Manage and protect what we have, leading the renewal of the existing business, in coordination with all relevant Munich Re stakeholders (i.e. pricing team, underwriting team, amongst others);
Proactive leads and business development within the regional strategic framework and financial targets, deploying a consultive selling approach;
Show deep understanding of the client´s needs and be able to connect them with Munich Re value proposition holistically;
Lead collaboration with internal stakeholders to identify actionable plans which drive client success and profitable business;
Understand and actively contribute to the whole risk management aspects of an opportunity origination;
Continuously manage and cultivate relationships with the influencers and decision-makers at clients and other relevant market stakeholders;
Act as a proud ambassador of Munich Re, representing its brand, identity and values.
Your Profile:
Outstanding academic profile with a university degree in Business Administration, Law, Actuarial, MBA or equivalent preferred;
Broad business development and relationship management experience in (re)-insurance, with experience in strategic consultancy and origination preferred;
Skilled at networking, generating leads, building a pipeline and closing business;
Solutions-oriented, has the ability to effectively manage complex change in an evolving and dynamic environment;
Self-starter who is highly motivated, manages multiple priorities efficiently and is results oriented;
Demonstrate ability to further interactions with internal stakeholders towards solutions;
Team player, collaborative and with a positive mindset, enjoys interpersonal skills;
Excellent communication and presentation skills;
Proficient in PC skills (MS Office tools);
Excellent command of both Spanish and English.
