Medium-sized language school entering its twelfth year of existence and growing steadily. We teach children from 3 years upwards, teenagers and adults of all ages and professions. Groups have a max. of 10 kids or 8 adults. We also have some 1-to-1 classes. We teach mainly general English, and we are a Cambridge examination preparation centre. Details of Position

We require 3 native-level TEFL/TESOL/CELTA-qualified teachers to join our team from mid-September 2023 to end of June 2024. (Summer work also available)

Two of the positions involve teaching children from the age of 6, teenagers and adults both in groups and 1-to-1 classes. Mostly afternoon classes with some morning classes. Guaranteed 25 hours per week / 1,000 euros per month gross. We offer pre-start training and induction and on-the-job training throughout the year. Suitable for newly qualified teachers looking to gain some experience with support from management and fellow teachers.

The third position is for a teacher of English for children aged 3 to 5. Specific training and experience essential, and a good knowledge of Spanish is required. This position is 15 hours per week, afternoons only and pays 600 euros per month.

All salaries include holiday pay (two weeks at Christmas, one week at Easter) and all local, regional and national holidays are observed.

Teachers are required to prepare and teach lessons, correct homework, attend occasional meetings and workshops, write short annual reports, and carry out simple administrative tasks etc. We offer on-the-job training and support, contract and social security, assistance with residence papers, social security and health service registration, etc. Renewable for 2024-2025 school year. Summer work (July and/or August) available. Accommodation is provided by company in comfortable flat in centre of town 2 minutes from school sharing with other teachers. Rent deducted from pay at end of month.

Native level English speaker preferred

Qualifications

We are looking for dynamic, fun-loving teachers with good people skills and a positive approach to teaching and learning, as well as the willingness to muck in and get the job done. TEFL/ TESOL/ CELTA or similar qualification a must. Experience in TEFL teaching not essential. Experience working with children a bonus. No Spanish or Galician necessary.
We can only accept applications from EU citizens, or from candidates who already have the necessary permit to work in the EU. In the case of non-native/ native level applciants, a verifiable C1 or C2 certificate or proof of proficiency in English is required.

Salary and Benefits
